The following P1 teachers to get letters this Month, May 2024
TSC P1 teachers updates (TSC) announced plans to start the release of deployment letters to third batch of qualified PTE ( P1 teachers ) to teach in junior school starting May 2024 ,(this month).
TSC indicated that a total of 6000 teachers will be posted to schools immediately after their documents are fully scrutinized by their Sub-County Directors.

The Commission will however scrutinize the documents at the headquarters to ensure only qualified teachers have been posted with valid documents.
Earlier this year,January 2024 TSC expressed a concern on junior secondary schools grappling with severe teacher shortage.
Confessing this shortage,Chief Executive Officer TSC ,Dr Nancy Macharia said the schools require about 99,045 teachers against the 56,928 current number of teachers.
As part of the measures to address the shortage, the commission advertised 6,000 deployment slots for serving primary school teachers with degree in secondary option.
These teachers were to apply online by 18th March 2024.
TSC announced that successful teachers will start getting their posting letters to serve in junior secondary school section early this term.
The Commission asked teachers who are qualified to apply for the deployment by 18th March, 2024.
As a result, the Primary School teachers applied to be deployed to JSS and who are qualified to teach in secondary schools will get their deployment letters.
TSC P1 teachers updates
Inorder for the salary payment for the deployed teachers to be hastened , Sub County Directors and Primary Headteachers releasing and receiving the teachers must act immediately the teacher is given their deployment letter.
The County Directors are expected to initiate posting Posting and the Entry or Exit Reports Module to the Sub-County.
The TSC Sub-County Director of will then do the posting of the P1 teachers with letters to JSS .

The process of entry and exit for the deployed teachers according to TSC must be conducted online since Commission no longer recognizes nor process hard copy casualties.
For circumstances where the teacher is retained in the same station.
Head of Institution is expected to exit the teacher from primary school and submit the new Entry Report for the JSS .
